British-made headboards, pelmets and ottomans designed by you
You have an idea for a great piece of furniture, right? But that fabulous design only exists in your head. Not any more… using your fabrics and chosen embellishments, we work together to create specialist headboards, pelmets and ottomans that are made-to-measure and 100% original.
Our skilled team, led by co-owner David Admans, make everything by hand in our workshop in Garsington, Oxford. We work for the trade and as well as traditional upholstery techniques, we use a clever bit of kit called a CNC machine to create intricate shapes and uniquely sized furniture to order.
When it comes to prices, we've got a trade list for everything we make in standard sizes. Email us here and we'll send it straight over. As making original furniture is where we really excel, we can't put a price on that, because every piece is different. That's why we invite you to come to us with your ideas and designs and, once you're happy with everything, we can quote you a price for the job.

Using state-of-the-art technology and David’s expert upholstery skills, our pelmets bring a smart luxe feel to any room, whether you want something classic and refined or a showstopping lambrequin (posh word for ornamental hanging) to span the largest of windows. Ottomans
Statement piece
Ottomans are often resigned to bedrooms. But we believe the pieces we make are so vibrant, they deserve to be set free from the humdrum and enjoyed in other rooms. Whatever trim or embellishment you need, if you can source it, we can make it!

We make a lot of interesting stuff at Catherine Charles. And while some requests are a little crazy, that’s exactly what we love about our job.
Every day is different. Like the day we got a call asking if we could build a 4.2 metre headboard (yes, we could). Or the day one customer asked us to
deliver their piece to France (also, yes, via a cheeky stop at a Hyper Marché to stock up on French beer on the way home!!).
